Pearls are not only for earrings and beautiful necklaces, the powder from pearls also can be used to whiten your skin and women in asian countries have known this for centuries. I use Pearl powder facials about once a month, and do them myself. Not only have I seen a huge relief in skin blemishes but my skin always has this crazy nice glow after these. I recently have been doing a lot of research on asian beauty secrets, buying books from Amazon and bookstores online, after reading all the books and searching online these recipes below seem to be the easiest, most cost-effective and have the best results.
Don’t go rooting through your mother’s jewelery box just yet, you don’t have to throw those Mikimoto’s in the blender or coffee grinder, pearl powder is very easy to find online and is very affordable too. Don’t let the spas fool you when they tell you the facial is 350 dollars because it is done with real crushed pearls, look below for links I found that sell pearl powder.

Here are some amazing pearl powder face masks! I have tried and used all of these, tweet me @heathermarianna and let me know what you think!
Pearl Powder Facial Masks whiten the skin and reduce the appearance of skin blemishes and uneven skin tone while helping to firm and tighten sagging skin, smooth the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, and get rid of the dead and rough skin cells that make the skin look dull and hamper the skin’s natural cell-renewal process.
Why pearls? Read below:
- Amino acids and peptides: The building blocks of healthy, smooth, and clear skin;
- Vitamin B Complex: Helps to maintain the vitality and energy of the skin cells;
- Epidermal Growth Factor (EGF): Actively causes the production of growth factor receptors that stimulate cell renewal, eliminate the cell-damaging and age-inducing free radicals, and help to restore the skin’s moisture and elasticity;
- Polysaccharides: Enhance the skin’s water-holding ability and firm the muscles that lie underneath the skin;
- Over 20 trace minerals: Including Zinc, Calcium, Magnesium, and Iron, that aid in the proper functioning of the skin cells; and,
- Antioxidants: Help to counter the cell-damaging and aging effects of free radicals.
Modern science has confirmed what the ancient medics have proven to be true – that pearl powder regenerates skin, increases collagen levels that help to firm and smooth the skin, and improve the skin’s radiance.
